This is getting brutal! Personal fights usually do, though.
In case you missed it from Monday, Laura and I split up over the weekend. I'm hoping that it's only a trial separation, while she figures out what she wants to do (and if she thinks we can work). A breath of fresh air can strengthen a relationship, and we can come out stronger because of it. It'll just take time. I'm hoping this is the case.
It could go the other way, too, though. And that would suck. I would lose my girlfriend and my best friend at the same time. However, I respect her wants and needs, and if she feels she needs this, then I have to accept it for now. She deserves that from me.
Thanks to everyone who has sent me e-mails, comments, and messages encouraging me and comforting me - it does mean a lot. I do ask that people not send her pressuring messages, though. This is just as difficult for her as it is for me, and she deserves and needs support as much as I do. Send her comforting comments, let her know that you're there for her - but please don't try to pressure her to get back together with me. If she feels that's what she wants, then it'll happen.

Well, best of luck to you and Laura... I've never been able to keep girlfriends very long, so I would be the last person to give advice, but I hope you get back together once you've sorted things out.

albone: I likes my violence bloody and red. I have a funny feeling that I'm going to be telling Olivia to put more blood into the Genocide story (I told her to keep it light in Abraham, because it's supposed to be like a children's fairy tale).
DAJB: I take things day by day right now, which is hard for me. I like to plan ahead and know things. It's the not-knowing that's driving me nuts right now....
Nice page and I wish you the best on the personal front. Sounds like you've got things in perspective but we all know that doesn't mean things are easy.

And yes, bloodbath! I actually felt that there wasn't enough blood on these pages...and at the same time, was working on another project called The Exile 2, which I decided to make bloodier and bloodier!
harryq: Thanks, man. I appreciate it. Laura has been getting some shit from friends (and from people I've only met like once) for her decision, and even though I don't agree with it, I have to support it. I would do that if we were still together, so there's no reason not to support it when we're apart (hopefully temporarily).
DOm: It has that epic feel to it, only Malukai is not the swordsman's father. ;) I commented on Nadya, as I do have your comic faved and enjoy reading it!

Fitz: Malukai is in his element - he loves killing! So of course the guy's got a sick and demended smile on his face. He's enjoying himself. Sadistic!
And yes, I was going to post Olivia's art earlier, but actually got some fan art (don't let that discourage you from submitting more fan art, damn it). However, I think you'll enjoy some of her designs. I've been going over her designs for the Genocide Temple story that she's working on, and I see her improving leaps and bounds!
Also, thanks for the kind words of encouragement. All I can do at this point is wait patiently.
amanda: It's okay, it was in the comments back to people - I figured everyone would miss it. Many people seem to like the idea of us being together...however, when one person's not happy in a relationship, then staying together just because it's what everyone else wants just isn't powerful enough. I want to stay together with her, and I think she's worth waiting for on this break (which I can only hope is temporary). However, ultimately, the ball's in her court.
DSNG: All it's missing is boobs, and then it'll be the best page ever! :D
I love the third panel. Very dynamic - and the expression on Malukai's face looks so... I don't know... fitting. Can't wait to see how this ends. And curious to see Olivia's art! Finally!
