It seems the problems never cease for me. As soon as finals ended, I started work on a new page only to have my laptop completely die on me. Since I'm currently in starving artist mode, I don't have the money to fix it at the moment and won't until I start working later this month. As you can see, the current comic is neither drawn on the computer as most of the comics I've worked on in the past four years have been nor is it in any way toned. Now, I could consider trying my hand at some greyscale markers I picked up last quarter if people are really in dire need of some simple tones. Anyway, I would like to try to get back into a groove, even if it means drawing out each page by hand as I've done here.
I think the problem went beyond just a scanner issue. Ben and I both decided this comic strayed way off course from where we wanted to take it. e's in the process of a total reboot with a completely different story to start things off and a new format. Once I get the finished script for chapter one, I'll post the cover as a teaser. I'll probably end up posting a full chapter at a time, so updates won't be frequent.
Scanner problems will delay the toning of the comics? Tripple Crapplies. That greyscape art was amazing, but I'm glad you're persevering. The story is too awesome not to be told, and this line art is still nice enough to do it justice.
that sucks about the laptop man.... my scanner died almost a year ago and i had to get a new one on my future shop card... hope things go good for you.
