PS: Commander Cool, Dwight's explanation is really good encompassing both print and web media, but in the case of a webcomic, it's especially important to leave a hook at the end of each page so readers return. Have you ever read a book that you simply couldn't put down? Page after page, you felt possessed to keep turning and turning--until you finished the entire novel?
Well, I feel that comic books should be the same way. Each and every page should so engross the reader that they are compelled to turn the page, or, in this case, to return next week to read the new episode. Writing a boring comic book is easy. Trust me: the big names have made a science of it. No, I want to write something that engages readers, something that readers look forward to with anticipation.
Hopefully, I'm accomplishing that...
