Amazing work! -Posted on Nov 01, 2009 | | User: carolyn | | 5 | | great ending Kristen! -Posted on Oct 28, 2009 | | User: wyatt1048 | | 5 | | That was spectacular. -Posted on Oct 25, 2009 | | User: God of War | | 5 | | Great story. Short, but great. -Posted on Oct 16, 2009 | | User: D0m | | 5 | | Beautiful art. -Posted on Oct 12, 2009 | | User: MeHighLow | | | Wait, wait. This was a great story, but it may benefit from just one more page, a sort of a conclusion or a coda. Kazimeiras strikes me as a sort of character who would learn and grow from this experience and IMHO it needs to be acknowledged somehow... This way, you are leaving it all for the readers to imagine, and that is not best writing practice, even though it may be some kind of a statement.
Anyway, a great job overall, give as a cherry on top, OK? -Posted on Oct 06, 2009 | | User: JillyFoo | | | | Last page of the chapter I hope... Oh no.. It was just getting good. You need an epilogue! -Posted on Oct 05, 2009 | | User: darkwaterfrey | | | | just re-read this....amazing. -Posted on Oct 04, 2009 | | User: michael_fighter | | | | It took guts to end like this. Congratulations. -Posted on Oct 03, 2009 | | User: Ronson | | 5 | | Wow! How did I miss this until it was finished! Powerful Stuff. Thank you! -Posted on Oct 03, 2009 | | User: BffSatan | | 5 | | Wow. -Posted on Oct 03, 2009 | | User: tommym | | | Dear Kristen,
Just caught up on 12 pages. You have a very powerful story going on! I get the feeling this is a true story. In fact, I think you played a part in it or have a close relative who did. Yours a reminder to everone how precious Freedom is!
Tommym -Posted on Oct 02, 2009 | | User: df_karnovski | | 5 | | Brilliant story and art ^^ -Posted on Sep 29, 2009 | | User: darkwaterfrey | | 5 | | beautiful shot from abouve. -Posted on Sep 29, 2009 | | User: JillyFoo | | 5 | | He didn't plangst! Awesome!!!! -Posted on Sep 28, 2009 | | User: Hawk of Rawk | | | | Also I'll buy a copy if I can. -Posted on Sep 28, 2009 | | User: Lilac | | 5 | | This is the end? D: -Posted on Sep 28, 2009 | | User: Gillespie | | 5 | I feel like I drove off a cliff. It's the end? Oh, you want us to actually use our brains to think what happens next? If I ever get my paypal set up, or if I get a credit card sometime, I'll have to buy a physical copy of The Optimist (if that's what you plan on doing)
Supremely Excellent!! Great job! :D
*Finish Line* -Posted on Sep 28, 2009 | | User: Emily Elizabeth | | 5 | OMG LAST PAGE?? Noooooooo! Wow, what an ending! I agree with Amanda, Kaz is better off without St Kazimieras. Also, can't wait for the hard copy, so buying one!
Sorry about your sister's car, maybe now her bad luck has run out she'll start having good luck? -Posted on Sep 28, 2009 | | User: Hunchdebunch | | 5 | Nice ending! It is a little abrupt and doesn't really answer all the questions the readers will have, but it leaves it really open for you if you wanted to do a follow on story for it. You could go into what happens to Kaz later on in life, or something. (I'd certainly read it if you did)
Anyway, if this comic gets published I'm so buying it lol I love it! Can't wait to see the new cover image too! Also, good luck with all your future projects! :)
And I'm sorry about your sister's car, too :( -Posted on Sep 28, 2009 | | User: theorah | | | Strange, they have got rid of what seemed to be the biggest problem in their lives at the beginning of the comic. But that that this problems gone they both have no direction/hope to look toward...
say, I was just thinking, this comic is uner 50 pages, its very interesting/artistic. Maybe you should enter it into the Kodansha international competition- they always choose substance over prettyness, I think this would have a good chance :) -Posted on Sep 28, 2009 | | User: theorah | | 5 | I hope you will print many copies of this, cos I really want one, if only so that I can show my friends how awesome it is ;_;
Interesting ending indeed, very bitter :(
Your poor sister, hopefully karma will be good to her after all her crappy luck. Wow is your sister an artist too? I wouldnt say artist have more suffering, its more like they are OTT and emotional so make a bigger deal out of lifes problems ;) -Posted on Sep 28, 2009 | | User: amanda | | 5 | | Angriest Kaz ever - but it's actually a good thing that he cast away his ties to that Saint. It was killing him! -Posted on Sep 28, 2009 | | User: Peipei | | 5 | What a sad ending ; ;
Sorry about your sister's car being stolen. I hope they can find it x.x. It's good to hear that you're doing your best to help her :3. -Posted on Sep 28, 2009 | | User: Ulrika | | 5 | | this is the end? Nooo :( -Posted on Sep 28, 2009 | | User: Lemniskate | | 5 | SHOCKING!
I was like "Huh? Huh? HUH?"
Great ending! -Posted on Sep 28, 2009 | | User: Bocaj | | 5 | | Wow...great comic, but the ending seems a bit abrupt... I WANT MORE :( -Posted on Sep 28, 2009 | | User: mishi_hime | | 5 | | Ending? nooo -Posted on Sep 28, 2009 | | User: Dark Pascual | | 5 | Divine Messangers have the worst timing...
Hope that everything goes better with your family... -Posted on Sep 28, 2009 | | User: usedbooks | | 5 | This is the last page? Huh. I would have thought it to be a turning point, but I can see it as appropriate for a short story ending (though those endings always drove me mad).
Sigh, and when a body appears it usually STARTS all the excitement. :-( *Goes back to reading detective stories.* -Posted on Sep 28, 2009 |
