The Man in the Black Mask

SAH on Feb. 16, 2011

It all started in LRC, which I guess is called study hall or something at places that are not my school. The name "The Man with the Black Mask" popped into my head and--having been reading up on the writing of "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas"--decided to try my own steam-of-consciousness piece. Not being a journalist, but very much missing cartooning (I haven't done it in a while) I whipped this up inside of twenty minutes (counting time in-between bells, as I started just as class was ending), showed it to a couple of friends who liked it, and BAM!

In all honesty, it took me a bit to figure out what to do after I drew the driver's license, but after that the ball got rolling, and I knew what I wanted to do--press forward. No planning, no editing (unless I've made something unclear), just see where my mind takes me. That may change further down the line if I decide I want to do something more with the plot, but for now just random events is fun enough.

I whipped up about seven of these today, so expect me to stay on a one-a-day schedule until at least a week from now.
