First off I want to thank you ALL for reading! I don't know if I say it enough. And commenting! Man I really love you interactive readers!!! Your comments really make my day! Whether you are pointing a mistake or laughing at Sally crying {again} I love it!!!

Just for fun I uploaded the 1st version of this scene I made back in 1996 XD
Enjoy... actually, run away!!!
And back to Sally... oh... um...

Guess she's not having much better luck :(

Looks like I'm back to the "reply on next update" kick!

replies

usedbooks: If you remember in issue 5 the Master said they were going to wipe out 75% of the humans. So she may still live...
The Grands didn't get to hear about that part since the Mother Ship was blocking their signal. Heck, they don't even know about the Master at all!
And staying in Atlantis would have ended up with the same results. The Preds were testing to come there as well. Fenny may not seem very logical, but she does have a big "quit" in her. She displayed it in Atlantis, in issue 5, and while fighting the rhino alien. If she can't think of a way to psych herself up the older timid Fenny takes hold of her.

Tantz Aerine: Now I'm going to have to TEST THAT!!! XD
Looks like your fear is well founded too!

DAJB: Are you kidding?! That puts her in the spotlight! She can psych herself up to be the person that saves humanity from oblivion for slavery instead! She'll be making speeches and all sorts of stuff! She might even like the process o_O

albone: Yeah, I think the pieces of futility are finally falling together for her.

dueeast: I think some "Dark Fenny" was unleashed on the rhino earlier too. How about unleashing "Bloody Sally"? :P

xerjester: I try really hard on the flow. It's part of my favorite thing to draft!

DrProfessorman: I hope I can make sure you never forget this time!!!

patrickdevine: You are right. Thanks for letting me know. I'll be more careful next time. Didn't you know? Fenny's head comes off WITH THE SUIT!!!

Scorpious: Yup... seems our options are a tad limited now...

Aghammer: How could you stay mad at her? Just look at her being all thinking and cute in the last panel! Dawwwww.....

The 4th and last panels were definitely focus points when I made the page!

Really cool page. Lots of good things to point in here... I especially like the texture on the third tentacle in the first panel. I also get a concrete feeling of depth in that panel. Nice idea with the wrapping tentacle on all the panels... Clear progression. Clear flow.

One thing you might want to play around with is the brush shape... I don't know why that sticks out to me so much, but maybe a different brush shape would help...

Compared to the original, you can see a huge improvement. That's a funny looking stain at the top of the original... :p

Yeah, DARK BLOODY SALLY -- she'll bleed on you! You won't like her when...she...bleeds? (Hm, doesn't work.)

Can we have Dark Sally back (without the blood)? lol!

I think she has a legitimate reason to cry on this one.

Indeed, for someone not wanting to waste effort on her, he sure is taking his sweet time.

Now, he may well be a sadist (plenty of evidence for that) but I am wondering if he has some other motive: destruction testing to reveal any further hidden abilities.

Or maybe it is a bit of both. He is the kind to kill two birds with one stone... slowly.

Today's TV trope is...
http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/BreakTheCutie
I gotta say this is pretty brutal, even more so with the previous page hinting at nobody's gonna come to rescue Sally. Unless she's gonna rescue herself. Unlikely. Or is it?
The 1996 version was pretty funny actually, though considering that the stuff that I was drawing at the time was way worse than that I shouldn't laugh too much.

Seems like a pointless waste of energy to block her, but a sadist has to get his kicks somewhere. XD

Actually, clean cuts like that don't really hurt initially even (and especially...) if they are DEEP. Severed nerves don't hurt. They make one numb. So even if she doesn't black out, she'd probably not feel much except dizzy and nauseous. A good sadist would choose a bludgeoning/tearing method rather than slashing. ;-) (But then, you wouldn't get to draw all that gushing blood!)
