Prior to this page I had drawn and inked everything by hand, scanned 'em in, then coloured with a trackball and a Gimp. Halfway through this page I got my Wacom tablet, scanned in the half finished inks and set out to ink the rest with the Wacom.
I never used a tablet before but how hard could it be right?
Well I won't go into detail, but you know that scene from Apocalypse Now where Martin Sheen is lying flat out on a hotel bed in a hallucinogenic haze, looking up at the ceiling fan going round and round making helicopter noises and the voice-over goes "Saigon - I was still only in Saigon"?...
Well anyway, that's my excuse for this page getting out of hand and I'm sticking to it!
Seriously low frequency high decibel stuff! Looks rockin' to me! Cool Apocalypse Now reference! That movie was either before it's time or you had to be wasted!
This page seriously rocks. I dig the panel placement overall and the energy of the last two panels. But most of all, I love that background in panel 2 -- it's the little things!
All you wanted was a mission... and for your sins, they gave you a one. . . in the form of a Wacom! (sorry - obscure Apocalypse Now reference).
