Yeah, I know I said it would only be a little break, but some pretty bad stuff happened in my personal life after that. I've spent the last couple of months in the hospital with my father, and on July 28th, he died after complications from extensive chemotherapy for his leukemia.

I'm not in much of an emotional or practical state to work on either of my comics right now, but worry you not, myself fans, I'll try to start working again sometime in the next few months.

Until then, enjoy this short story I worked on during a brief visit home last month.

Huh--something serious in the world of Smoke. Interesting, can't wait to see where you go with this. I espicially like the hard-boiled ness of it--enough that it sets the tone, but not to the point where it becomes laughable.

So when's the next page coming? :D
