Hello, hello! Welcome to the grand re-opening of "Shimmer" on Drunk Duck. This was all posted here before at one point, so if this looks familar to any DD folks, that's because it probably is.
"Shimmer" has been an ongoing project for me for going on two years now. During that time, my style and skill has gone through many changes and fluxuations. But in order to make sense of the story, I have to start this archive with the oooooold artwork... so please be gentle. It gets far better as I go along.
Okay. So here's our current narrator, Aur -- floating in a sort of mind-rift of space. I'm not exactly sure how long he's been asleep, but it's been a pretty long bit of time. We're talking millennia.
He's been given the form of a little boy, though it's doubtful that one of his kind have ever had a physical body before -- the reason for this will be explained in a few pages. His true origins aren't something that can really be pinpointed -- nor do I want to give too much away.
All you really need to know is that Aur is currently the servant of Zemi Dreigiau. Who's Zemi? You'll see soon enough. ^_^
