| DAJB | Warning: inappropriate use of spirit stones may warp your powers of logic. Keep out of the reach of children.

| User: DAJB | | | JNP: Only two? We'll see if we can work in some raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens ...!
Sky: Good question. I suspect they are. That's probably why all the recycling bins are green! ;-)
Deadite: Thanks!
Thip: I guess a lot of people favour peaceful means of achieving their objectives until they actually get the power to try a more "direct" approach!
Paul: That'll be the official supervillain look he's modelling there! ;-) -Posted on Nov 16, 2009 | | User: JustNoPoint | | 5 | That's the same thing my preacher did to me to get me in church!
4th wall breaking of the panels and skeletized death! 2 of my favorite things to see in a comic ^^ -Posted on Nov 15, 2009 | | User: skyangel | | 5 | | Lovely page! A very good moral about the corruption of religious egos. *makes note to empty cookie jar of spirit stones into bin.....but which one.. are these things recyclable?* -Posted on Nov 14, 2009 | | User: thip | | | | Power corrupts, and instant power corrupts instantly, it would seem. Where did the benevolent help-the-poor guy suddenly go? Super story! -Posted on Nov 11, 2009 | | User: PaulEberhartd | | 5 | | Wow, he looks scary! -Posted on Nov 10, 2009 | | User: DAJB | | | Adam: Thanks. At least I hope that was a positive "Daaaamn!"
Cyberdog: All we need now is for someone to bring the barbecue sauce!
Khard: Absolutely. Or an anything-else-ist either, I should imagine!
Lem: Heh - the most powerful force known anywhere. Even in the spirit world!
Starstriker/Eraser/Trevor/Stranger/Azu/Brogan/jgib: Thanks, everyonel! -Posted on Nov 10, 2009 | | User: jgib99 | | 5 | | Awesome page. -Posted on Nov 09, 2009 | | User: Brogan | | 5 | | fantastic page! -Posted on Nov 09, 2009 | | User: AzuJOD | | 5 | | Awesome! -Posted on Nov 09, 2009 | | User: Adam Black | | 5 | | Daaaaaaaaaamn! -Posted on Nov 09, 2009 | | User: cyberdog | | 5 | | Ahhhhhhhh, Kentucy Fried Conquestadors. -Posted on Nov 09, 2009 | | User: khard12 | | 5 | | The moral of the story is don't call Credo a papist! -Posted on Nov 09, 2009 | | User: ERasER | | 5 | -Posted on Nov 09, 2009 | | User: Lemniskate | | 5 | | Behold the power of GAAAGH! -Posted on Nov 09, 2009 | | User: DAJB | | | Tantz: Something about the devil having all the best tunes, I suspect ...! :-)
Lance: Thanks - when I planned this sequence, I didn't realise there'd be quite so much green on one page. Overall, though, I think it scales up neatly from the previous two!
Darwin: Heh - we do try!
Hero: Thanks!
Peipei: As always, your instincts serve you well!
GodofWar: Years, power and green spirit stones. A lethal combination!
Abt: Okay. You have my permission to substitute "alchemist" for "apothecary". But if you see your father grinding glowing green stones into a powder, be on your guard!
SoItBegins: See - it all makes sense now. Kind of! -Posted on Nov 09, 2009 | | User: Tantz Aerine | | 5 | | why do all villains speak true words, while good guys spew skewed logic in pop culture these days? It's a conspiracy, I tell you. ;) -Posted on Nov 09, 2009 | | User: LanceDanger | | 5 | | Ohh, great contrast of colors =3 -Posted on Nov 09, 2009 | | User: Darwin | | 5 | | WOW! Wild!! -Posted on Nov 09, 2009 | | User: Hero | | 5 | -Posted on Nov 09, 2009 | | User: Peipei | | 5 | | I had a feeling this was gonna result in some ugly bloodshed x.x. -Posted on Nov 09, 2009 | | User: God of War | | 5 | | I see that years have strongly changed him. -Posted on Nov 09, 2009 | | User: Abt_Nihil | | 5 | Don't talk bad about apothecaries... my father is one :P
Never knew the power of faith was green! -Posted on Nov 09, 2009 | | User: DAJB | | | Coyote: Yes, I'm afraid that's true of most zealots! The obvious current example would be the Islamic fundamentalists who are happy to quote the Crusades as examples of barbarism (and justifiably so!) but see no contradiction in sending people to kill and be killed in the name of their faith. Or, to move it away from religion, the Communist leaders who decry the evils of Fascism while believing that their system is justified in subjecting people to identical miseries. Credo is just a fictional example of something that is all too common in the real world. Except for his ability to fire green energy bolts, obviously! ;-)
Doc/Nepath: Thanks, guys.
Darius: Could have? I'm sure it has happened many, many times! Sadly there are all too many people who believe their faith justifies all sorts of lunacy!
Matt: Heh - that disintegration panel was one of those which, when I wrote the script, I liked the way it played out in my head but I wasn't sure how well it would transfer to the page. Once again Nickel proved more than capable of making it look even better than I'd imagined it!
Repo: Thanks. Chalk another one up for the artist!
UsedBooks: You're right, of course. But the fattening ones sure do taste good! ;-) -Posted on Nov 09, 2009 | | User: CoyoteLongshot | | 5 | | Ah, hypocrisy and religious zealots. Like apple and pie, I tell you. It seems murdering in the name of faith is only fine with Credo as long as it's him who's doing it. -Posted on Nov 09, 2009 | | User: Nepath | | 5 | -Posted on Nov 09, 2009 | | User: Doctor Shadow | | 5 | | Nice DAJB, very nice. -Posted on Nov 09, 2009 | | User: Darius Drake | | 5 | | He just put pure belief into himself. I didn't think that it would result in an inflated ego, but I didn't really think about the side effects. I love how this could of actually happened if someone was, somehow, able to drink pure energy and belief. -Posted on Nov 09, 2009 | | User: mattchee | | 5 | He just disintegrated that guy! Wow!
Note to self, keep away from glowing maniacs. -Posted on Nov 09, 2009 | | User: repoman | | 5 | | Love the dynamic figure work on this page. -Posted on Nov 09, 2009 | | User: usedbooks | | 5 | That is quite a bizarre murder method!
Sage advice, DAJB. I suggest children stay away from all forms of supposed super-power creating materials. Most are carcinogenic. The rest are fattening. -Posted on Nov 09, 2009 |
