So - you thought Stan had relationships with younger generations all worked out, eh? Everyone's but his own, maybe!

Note for readers in Japan and Canada:
Apparently you guys can't see any images on DD just now. If you can't see this page here, you can see it at my BVC website. Hope the problem's sorted soon!

Careful editing just doesn't work with enthusiastic kids ;o) Love Stan's expression in the last panel!!! Stan should've told the youngster to tell the truth, chapter and verse - mummy wouldn't have believed a word of it ;o)

Stan and Sunil are still my favorite characters from Shades, and this page shows why. Wonderful comic relief after the heavier stuff... even though the heavier stuff had some great comic relief sprinkled throughout... oh well, you know what I mean :-)

SciFi: Just as well he's not staying with Stan tonight ... I think he'd be going to bed without any supper!

seventy2: Yeah - you've got to watch the little tykes!

SoItBegins: He did! Kids can be so ... "literal"!

JMT: Heh. Both of them - two of Harsho's finest!

Barbi: Thanks! We always save you a place here, just in case you drop by! ;-)

Man, this is so funny. In writing and drawing. Can't stop chuckling... Those last panel faces!

And Sunil: Come on, mate! You're ten years old! You know better than that!

Comedian: Thanks! I must admit this little scene still makes me smile and I've lived with it for years now!

Shane: Sounds like you're speaking from experience! ;-)

Kids. They have the superpower to say the things you least want them to. I know I did when I was a anklebiter.

cs3: Thanks. I have very deliberately tried to inject a little mundane domesticity every now and then. Hopefully it helps to keep the story rooted in the real world (or something like it!) even when the main action is drifting towards the more super heroic / fantastic.

Japlander: No problem re the link. I'll keep posting links with each page until DD (or you!) say the problem is fixed.

Armando: Thanks!

Midge: Heh - who knows? Maybe this little stick of dynamite has a little more wall-jumping left in him, too! ;-)

PERFECT page! Kids say the darnedest things. You've capture such precious realism on this page. It's my new favorite page. And Stan's expression is priceless.

Alana: Heh - it's been a long time since Jill was ten. I guess he's having to learn the rules of engagement all over again!

Starwolf: Yup - tricky critters, kids!

Peipei: Heh - let's hope not. What would she say?! ;-)

JNP: You mean like a dog? Ooh, that's harsh!
