Tom is known for being extremly asexual when it comes to sex in general or women. None really turn him on, nether do men. But he has been known to get depressed and get drunk, wake up with a naked chick in his bed.
I hope that explains why everyone is reacting as such XD They all expect him to at least maintain his usual stance until they hit REAL rocky waters.
