Japanese government wants to not deal with cash in the near future. Paving the way is Suica... an IC card that is prepaid, and can be used at a growing number of places. The newest Suica based item is cell phones, where one can either prepay an amount, or just pay as you go on your cell phone bill (scary thought)

I must apologize for yesterday's comic, it was rushed and it looks it!!!

It's basically like a debit card. I never have cash. I think the last time I had cash was like 6 months ago...
