So I just saw Gran Torino a few hours ago. I don't want to go into a long, deep review of the film because I just don't feel it warrants any thorough analysis. In short... it was fucking AWESOME. Funny, poignant, badass... the best damn thing I've seen in a long time. Go see this movie. Don't waste your money on that Benjamin Button bullshit, no matter how much your girlfriend nags you. Just tell her to shut the fuck up (reassure her that you still love her and you'll buy her candy and nail polish or whatever stupid shit she has a boner for afterward) and drag her to Torino. It's

What isn't is that new fucking iCarly episode. It made me so unhappy... to see Freddie and Sam awkwardly lock lips for those fifteen seconds of mutual desperation. Freddie... well, Freddie deserves better. Not that Sam is bad or anything (outside of being a total fucking bitch) but she dedicates her life to shitting on his soul, to keeping him down, crushed, emasculated. Freddie loves Carly... he's been there for her; a pillar of emotional support in her hours of weakness, someone to trust, to confide in; he's also been there for her in her creative endeavors, taping every damn episode of her schizophrenic web show, aiding in the maintenance of her entire site. He's dedicated and she... well, she mocks his passion, tramping around after some hollow pretty face right before his eyes with complete disregard for the damage she's doing to his heart... no, she never thinks about his feelings... DO YOU, CARLY?! YOU COLD FUCKING BITCH. YOU DON'T CARE, YOU NEVER CARED! WHORE!!! WHOOOOORE!!!

...I'm sorry I got all excited there, readers. I just get so riled up about these things.
I've been watching a lot more MTV because I just can't stand to look at Carly's face anymore. She's scarred us... Freddie and me. It seems he's far more forgiving but I just can't bring myself to... to do that. Maybe with time those old wounds will heal and I can bear to look upon her face again. But it will be a long time.
Sorry the comic looks a little weird today... I couldn't find my pencil. I looked and looked for a good ten minutes and then just kind of gave up. Maybe next week's will look better... though, honestly, they never looked that good to begin with. Maybe if you tell all your friends about the site, you know post it on forums and stuff (since the url is on every comic for that reason and we've got banners you can put in your signatures in the Links section) I can make enough money to hire a real artist. Unless someone, out there wants to... do that... for me... for free...? Because you know I could probably pump out updates twice a week if I didn't have to draw the damn things (as little time as it takes it's just such a fucking barrier to overcoming my laziness).
