| User: TBustah | | | I will concede that the concept is interesting. You've taken a common recurring element from the games that has yet to be explored in any real depth, and turned it into an entire series.
That being said, however, you fail in the delivery.
Most of the customs sprites are simply horrible. They lack proper shading, sensible color co-ordination, and even outlines in some areas.
Your backgrounds aren't much better. Why is there a dock in the middle of all that grass? You also cut off one of the boards there. There's no water to speak of. Your backgrounds are generally boring, they're just buildings in an expanse of grass. They lack detail, like plants, background characters, and paths.
Still, you seem to know what you're doing regarding resizing sprites. I've seen a lot worse.
Panel size and placement is inconsistent, but it could be worse. It's okay if you want to use different size panels for different scenes, but when you're just showing the same image with different text (like on the last page) they need to be the same size, and lined up correctly.
Your grammar, spelling, and punctuation are not bad, but they still need work. You also waste a bit of space with those balloons, but I've seen worse (Try to rearrange your lines to fit. If the balloon is an oval, rearrange the lines into an oval shape). You should use paint.net or Photoshop for all text and balloons. When you use paint, like you have here, the balloons just end up looking really pixelated.
Please do not take the things I have said personally. I am only trying to help you improve. Beleive it or not, I WANT to see you improve. I like the story, and look forward to it unfolding, but I also don't like getting eye-raped.
