| mitchell00 | Oh boy, huge commentary time. Well, as most of you may already know, Gold and Silver are my most FAVORITE games of all the Pokemon series. I believe that once Ruby and Sapphire was released, the franchise went downhill and everything released after that did not do the series justice. Though I must admit that the newer features in the new games are nice, but those seem to be the only good thing about the modern generations of Pokemon and this is most evident in the anime series. Well, after much rumors and false gossip, the series has FINALLY been announced, however the female lead from Pokemon Crystal is being replaced by a new female character. But, that's no big deal. I can live with that.
You can't possibly know how EXCITED I am for this game and after much thought, I've decided that I am going to be making the first sprite comic adaptation to this new game. This filler is mostly a joke though, I'm more then happy if anyone else wants to do it as well. I can't stop you from doing it, if you really want to.
So, what does that mean for THIS comic? Am I canceling it? Urm, kind of difficult to say. I won't be "canceling" it, per se. At the same time, I will not be continuing it after HeartGold and SoulSilver is released. I think I will continue this comic until such a date that sprites and backgrounds becomes available for me to make the comic. But once I get my hands on a decent copy of Pokemon SoulSilver, I will be stopping Pokemon Destiny Version completely and starting on a new comic in 2010, tentatively titled "Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver". Unoriginal, I know, but I don't care. I'm so excited for this game!
However, until then, expect more Pokemon Destiny Version, I should start updating this comic again very soon. -Posted on May 13, 2009 |

The spin-offs and remakes are the only things keeping the franchise still alive. I'd hate to see what would happen if there was a Generation V and they added another 150 or so Pokemon or whatever.
