This 10-page story was my entry in the 2005 24 Hour Comics Day challenge. This is an improvised story that would probably take place after the Prologue at the beginning of Book One, though it's a scene that I had never written in the plotting and I made it up as I went. The art is a lot cruder and you might notice that Andy's personality doesn't quite match the regular story (it has shades of Patrick). This isn't meant to be a part of the real storyline, I just thought folks who haven't seen it might get a kick out of it. Since 24 Hour Comics are supposed to have 24 pages, this is what is known as a Notable Failure (Gaiman Variation), but it's one I was lucky enough to have selected for the 24HCD 2005 Anthology from About Comics.

I don't think I ever thought of this as "older work", since it's only 2 1/2 years old and I've been making comics for about 17 years, but I suppose it qualifies. Trust me, my real "older" work is downright atrocious...and no one will ever see it, I promise.

I love seeing people's older work, especially when you can compare it to what they're currently doing.

That doesn't make me any less loathe to drag my own golden oldies out, though. XD

Looking forward to reading it. "Out of continuity" stuff is usually a good look at how characters change in the creator's mind as a piece develops.
