I do share Spider-Man's opinion on The Big Bang Theory. I really don't think the writers get the nerd community and instead simply pokes fun, but does it in a way that people recognize it as "witty," when really it's just a bunch of random references and such.
If Arrested Development, My Name is Earl, and Raising Hope are smart shows about dumb people, The Big Bang Theory would be a dumb show about smart people. (And IT Crowd would be a smart show about smart people.)
Anyway, I don't care if other people like it, but I don't and I'm tired of people telling me to check it out. I have and I don't like it.

The thing that get's me about that show is the fact that the writers seem to think there's no such thing as a female nerd. Well, I'm female and plenty nerdy, sexists!

i hate tbbt. my family watches it on laptops, and do not stop it when they walk away from the computer, so i had to listen to an 'emotionless' girl give a rather clinical description of becoming horny for the first time and have it explained to her what was going on . . . twice.
