This is what I figured out, anyway.
But yes, the comic Bane was smart enough to figure out Batman's true identity. So far as I know, there are three villains who have figured out Batman's identity without unmasking him: Bane, The Joker (recently), and Doctor Hugo Strange.
As far as I know, those are the only three. All three of them are fairly smart characters, especially Bane and Dr. Strange.
Actually, given that Nolan did make this Bane fairly smart...it is possible.
I'm rambling. I'll stop.

He's crazy, but he's also fairly intelligent. He knows enough about chemistry to make his Joker gas.

Comics Bane was waaaayy smarter. At least new movie Bane was better than 90s movie Bane.
