In a recent episode of MLP, Pinkie Pie is feeling that she's spread too thin with her friends and having fun with them, so she seeks out this magical lake that creates a duplicate.
And those duplicates create their own duplicates making a ton of Pinkie Pies.
And that's what this comic is referring to.
