I honestly don't remember the main universe Spider-Man dating Black Cat THAT much...in fact, the only relationship I remember them having is around the time Spider-Man wore the symbiote suit. There might have been other times, but that's the main one I remember.
But for the sake of this arc, I fudged it a bit.

I have. I thought he did an excellent job capturing the characters and certainly wrote an interesting story.

Crazy out there question. Have you read the Spider Man novel by Butcher? It is really good. It is how I got my husband to start in on the Dresden Files. "Harry is just like Spiderman! You'll love him!"
