I'll tell you what, I have some great animal stories. Let me give you a "for instance." We have rats as pets - they're wonderful little critters. We had a pair of dwarf rats a few years back that we named Felicity and Vanessa. They were total escape artists, but so tricky about it that we wouldn't notice that they got out. Then, when they'd had their fill of wandering, we'd look down and there they would be, sitting at our feet, looking at us like "welp, we're ready to go back into the cage now, to have some food and a drink of water ... perhaps you'd like to cuddle us a bit first?" Hehe. It never ceased to amuse. I had a big dumbo boy named Jack who used to come and sleep with me on the bed. At the time a wild rat had been getting in and running about in here, eating the food our pets threw out of their cages. This wild rat was not at ALL intimidated by us and one night I woke to a horrible fight - the wild rat had got onto the bed and Jack felt he had to defend me. I managed to shoo off the wild rat, but he stopped half-way to the bedroom door and stood up ... I had to tell him "go on, now - shoo!" before he got back to his four feet and sauntered out the door. Poor Jack was never the same after getting beat up like that ... *sigh*
