1.you cut out parts of the house, not the entire room (ONLY if neccessary)
2.The second link is to a program that is good for learners like you before moving on to harder programs.
3. I can give you and link you to tutorials that will help you make your comic skills 40% better .
4.ONLY click the first link if you don't have this program installed on your computer.(Microsoft .Net Framework Version 2.0). It isn't a big file, I think it's around 20 something megabytes and will take 5 minutes or so to download and possibly install it.
5. If you visit other comics and see other stuff that you try to do in Paint.Net and can't, beware as that is the work of Photoshop.
6.Before you use the sheet, use the paint bucket and white out the background so it would be easier for you to select, git mah drift?
7. Go to this comic, which is another PoKeMoN comic and study this layout:

When you get used to this layout, then you can move on.
Plus, to add on to the criticism here, the "choosing your PoKeMoN at Oak's lab" storyline is really cliche (used too much). The PoKeMoN should be something not cliche (bulbasaur, charmander, squirtle etc.). I would let you use my storyline, which is they get a PoKeBaLL and they catch their PoKeMoN on their own. Try not to rush your story too much because it will get completely boring. If you do mute or report this comment, you will fail as a comic maker forever basically because you just pushed away shit that can help you in future generations, my friend. PoKe_Alster says some of the basic stuff, I say the 60%, and KevinClifford will say the rest as he is the master at PoKeMoN comics -Posted on Jun 10, 2008 | | User: Poke Alster | | | wow, this needs alot of work, no offense =) heres a few tips;
1 - the speech bubbles need to be seen not just drawn round
2- The writing needs to be readable,
3 - just cut out the house and not the house next to it on the sheet
