And Welcome to the very bloody cover...HEE! I had a lot of fun experimenting with different brushes on this particular page in order to create "realistic" blood effects...it's not totally right, but it's growing on me quickly!

At the age of twenty-five and eight years after being forced to depart the Dwellers Caverns, Cabal and Carmen find an abandoned house. Things haven't been going well for either of them. Cabal is concerned for his mother, realizing that her mind has been slipping a long time.
More and more her anger has been aimed at him - even when he's done everything in his power to keep them safe and fed. Not an easy task considering the state of the world.
Finally good luck seems to be shining on them, as Cabal finds a healthy human, and unspoiled foodstuffs to boot --
--Until he returns and is attacked by Carmen and is forced to defend his very life....
So picks up the tale of Epiphany. (this particular fight can be found as the "Extended Fight" pages of Sins of the Father right here on DD)
