There's always some idiot in the party that dumps a bunch of skill points into an apparently useless skill. To compensate for his terrible, terrible decision-making abilities, a Game Master will often make that skill become critically important at some point in the game.

Unfortunately, this just promotes poor decision-making.

Like when it comes time to "dress" your character.

Hey, if it looks cool, why not? Screw realism - to look as badass as possible, men have to have the coolest accessories, and women have to have the least amount of material covering them as possible.
