Goddamn I need to work on making my text size standard. It's gone giant again. Next time I'll work it out I promise.
This comic was delayed in part due to the Metroid Prime Trilogy.
this is the first Monkeyshine page drawn with an actual brush, no more cheaty bruch-pens for me. I relied far to heavily on my wrist drawing this, I need to practice sweeping elbow movements. Practice is required.
I keep threatening you that heavy exposition is on the way, but I think we're safe for a page or two.
I still owe Harkovast and Repoman some fanart, I haven't forgoten you guys! I've been lucky that the only people who win my competitions happen to have very good comics that I'm already following and also Harkovast won one too. ;p
Suplimential art this week is an early Joel design (quite an important one as it was the first time I gave him crazy hair and puffy trousers). Does anyone actually look at these? Maybe I should start up a seperate Monkeyshine Extras comic, Then again I've got so much of this crap it'd overtake the main comic's page count in no time.

Coments from last month:
Hunchdebunch: Don't look down!
Ryuthehedgewolf: I much prefer using real paper. It's a shame it's about seven times as time consuming.
repoman: Cheers. In no way did I put that joke in to save me from drawing handrails everywhere.
Gillespie: Thanks for the rating! (congrqatulations on posting my 100th comment!)
purplehev4: Maybe looking sideways would have worked best. And this is the adventures of Joel and Fuchsia untill further notice. I will not be swayed.
Redemption: Maybe a certain missing detail on this page will add some fuel to the 'What is Joel?' fire. -Posted on Sep 29, 2009 | | User: johlin | | 5 | | wow, i really love the colors -Posted on Oct 20, 2009 | | User: repoman | | 5 | "Hair products?" LOL. Joel is so well coiffed
The brush lines look great. -Posted on Sep 30, 2009 | | User: Redemption | | 5 | Woohoo - update!
Missing detail... we're not talking about a certain button here are we? :D
I have to agree with Ryu - the colours really work on this page. Well, they usually do anyway but just stand out on this particular page. Brush line art - looking very smooth, ditto for the use of high angle shot. -Posted on Sep 29, 2009 | | User: Ryuthehedgewolf | | 5 | (Digging the coloring here, for some reason, I'm really noticing it more on this page. Probably just me)
Is it really faster to do it on the computer?
I'm considering that when I get a tablet, to switch to digital...but I don't know. -Posted on Sep 29, 2009 | Only registered members may vote. Sign up here! | |
