Wow... I am completely hooked now. :O Usually, forwards don't really get me into a story, mostly because a lot of people stop after the forward. But this.... This is one of the most intriguing end-of-the-world theories I've ever read.

That's the best foreword I've ever read on any webcomic, DD-based or otherwise. Great mix of images/text, great arrangement, great writing, and (my personal favourite) great use of Berkley's philosophy. If we don't read it, it won't happen.
