| | | | jiminycricketX | Sorry for the long gap there. You wouldn't believe how long it took me to sketch a cover image for this chapter that I actually liked.
So, it was my birthday last week! As of July 1st, I am 17 years old, Which is about a year or so older than the version of me in the comic. Can you believe we've been in season 2 for a whole year now? Unbelievable. I can remember a time when I never thought I would get past the first chapter. Yet here I am, a year older and beginning chapter 3! Hooray for me! Now maybe I could try to keep up a frequent update schedule, so I can complete mre than 2 chapters over this next year.
NEWS TIME!
COMICS!
I read Alan Moore's 'The Killing Joke' since my last update. Brilliant. Perfectly brilliant. It's one of thoe comic books that just makes you feel illiterate and artistically talentless by comparison. If you are a Batman fan (or even if you're not) pick this one up.
I also read 'Ultimate Spiderman Vol. 11: Carnage'. Great book! It may well be the darkest Ultimate Spidey book yet. Not gonna spoil it for any of ya, but it's really good.
GAMES
Nothing new to report, but I've been playing tons of Sims 2. I made a few decent mods as well, mostly of some of my favorite webcomic characters. I made me and John (obviously), as well as Narini from 'One Question', and Terry and Delores from 'Errant Apprentice'. I want to make a few Culture Shock ones one of these days, though since I don't know how to make meshes, I'm not sure I could do Alec's armor. Hm....
I'll upload screenshots of the mods I've made on friday, or next monday, or whenever the heck I manage to get you guys another update.
MOVIES
Over my break I saw Indiana Jones 4, and Wall-E. Indy was pretty fun. I know some people didn't like it, but I thought it wasn't half bad. They made Indy as an old guy work, remarkably.
Wall-E was excellent. God, it was just perfect. It may be the most imaginative Pixar flick since Monsters Inc.. It halps that I love outer space. You set anything in outer space, and I'm all over it.
CLOSING NOTES
I have none. Tune in friday/next monday for the first page of the new chapter! -Posted on Jul 07, 2008 |
