I actually didn't intend the sly Mona Lisa smile there. But it works. It so works.
I edited out the knife in the first panel, purely so it wasn't suspected until the last minute, and you're like, "OMG I KNEW IT!" or "OMG I DID NOT SEE THAT COMING!" depending on how good you are at analyzing my storytelling techniques so far.
I'm of the opinion that I cannot pull off a plot twist. Therefore, I don't usually try. But I totally want to.
For instance, a good plot twist would be that FiFi actually killed himself, claimed his own soul, and is now roaming the Earth on a ghostly rampage as Samael. This is, however, completely moronic, and in fact contradicts the knowledge that Samael has been existence prior to FiFi's death.
