I understand that this is rather sudden, but I'm afraid I can't continue making this comic.

Truth be told, I was going to leave after issue 10 was done--my last page would've gone online on October 31st. Now you know why every page was getting crazier than the last--I wanted to see this thing out with a bang. :)

However, a number of little things happened yesterday which (on top of the main reason I was leaving in the first place) have forced me to call it a day a little earlier than I had planned.

I'm really sorry, guys. If I had my way, I'd draw this thing for you forever. I really would. The last 18 months have been a lot of fun, and I've made a lot of friends from all over the world. Gene and Paul often say that Kiss fans are the best fans in the world, and they're not lying. You guys took me in like family, and treated me like a rock star--and I'm just some dude who sits around in his pajamas all day and draws Kiss saving the world! It's amazing to me. I send all of you my most heartfelt thanks, and my sincerest apologies for letting you down so suddenly.

So, this is it for me writing and drawing Kiss 4K. However, I'm currently working on a number of other projects which I hope you'll check out. Many of them won't be in print till next year, but one of them--a new webcomic--should be going online the first week of November. Keep your fingers crossed, though: I'm still trying to find a site to host it. I emailed the nice people at Keenspot a few weeks ago, but haven't heard back from them yet.

My good friend Ken over at www.kissfansite.com has graciously agreed to let me use his forums as a place to answer any questions you guys might have. So head over there and click the "KISS Collectibles & Comics" subforum. Look for the KISS 4K webcomic thread stickied at the top of the list.

Again: I'm truly sorry to end this so suddenly, but I really had no choice. It was the best option for myself and my family at this point in time. I hope you enjoyed the last year and a half of stories and excitement, and I hope you'll check out the other comic projects I'm working on.

Thank you for stopping by and enjoying the Kiss comic. Despite how it ended, this was a great experiment. My favorite part of it was the instant feedback you guys always gave me. Despite the current situation, I'll always remember the last 18 months as the most fun I've ever had making a comic.

Your friend,

Adam Black
