My brother's one of those people who'll say something in such a way where he's totally serious and his voice is so monotone that you can't tell it's funny unless you're paying attention. This isn't really one of those times, but he still is quick to come up with an amusing retort in any situation. He also doesn't really smile until after Jerricca starts yelling at him for whatever it was that he said, but I made him smile in here to show that he finds her predicament amusing.
