Can't believe I forgot that oil lamps were one of the primary light sources once. I was scratching my head where they could get all the wax for the candles around the tower and inside. Then I remembered, OIL! Worked out fine.
My plans were to get a good job and fund an octagon tower-ish house to live in, IF I never found a mate. But, I found one, so I'll be normal and live in a four-sided home. Although, he's promised me a little octagon sun room attached to the house when we can build our home. I don't have to be normal after all!

Oh, lucky! It'd be awesome to live in one. I thought about building one once, but it would be an octagon instead of a circle because of the bed problem. With these guys, I just curved the beds and tables against the walls. Possibly an incentive for the prisoners to conform faster. XD

Round rooms are a devil to draw. Even worse: you've got no way to put your bed and wardrobe anywhere without either wasting a lot of space or having a half-moon shaped hole between the wall and the bed that you keep falling in every night. (Yep. I know someone who actually used to live in a round tower room; in the early 20th century, the ones who built that house, that has a view on an actual castle, obviously thought it'd look way cool with a tower of their own.)
