He and Ryan went to business school together and Ryan was the best man at Maria and Jake's wedding. Jake owns a large and rather exclusive apartment complex that he lives in with his wife and with Ryan as their only neighbor. In the Story: Jake's just trying to keep his wife happy and keep himself sane at the moment, as well as look after his sister-in-law, which is the source of both of his troubles. Random Fun Fact: Jake's half-brother is the detective attempting to track down the most recent serial killer in town...who just happens to be Ryan, but he does not know that yet. She loves her sister very much and worries about her constantly. Recently Maria has become pregnant and has decided to quit her job as consultant to a graphics designing firm. She is going insane with nothing but her Cubestation X games to keep her company. She would love it if Magdalena would move in with her and her husband if not to alleviate some of her boredom, but Magdalena hardly ever comes to visit any more In the Story: Thus far... Random Fun Fact: When they were first married and she and Jake would get into fights, often Maria would end up spending the night at Ryan's, and even today some "emergency fight provisions" are there. Jeena has been trying to get into the modeling business for years but has only just managed to be a make-up artist for photo shoots. She is a total extrovert and does everything possible to embarrass Magdalena by dressing outrageously (according to Magdalena) when she is around. What are friends for? In the Story: Jeena is letting Magdalena crash at her place for the summer and things are just like they used to be, best friends forever having fun and getting into all kinds of adventures... At one point he and Magdalena tried dating in high school but they both realized that they would always be family at heart. (Although, there is a bit of tension when the two of them get together, even now.) He is very protective of Magdalena and often seems to be more of a brother to her than to his own biological sister, much to Jeena's chagrin. He was found to be clinically sane by the doctors there, and in fact a bit of a genius. He was sent to a prestigious private school on the East-Coast and began college at age 16. However, while there, Rory was involved in an "incident" - a missing girl and possible murder, so the courts have ordered him to not leave the state. Of course...he left. In the Story: After fleeing his home state, Rory's strange gift brought him into many people's lives, sometimes to help, sometimes just to observe, sometimes too late. He always wears sunglasses to hide his abnormal eyes, giving many the impression that he is blind, but he passes it off as a light sensitivity condition.
