The true story of Sappho begins in earnest. ;)
On a more serious note, though, Tinkerbell has died. I know you know what I'm talking about. My old readership here on DD has dwindled to practically nothing, so I will only be posting 20 pages here and then calling it quits. I have had far more enthusiasm for the series in England, Germany and the Netherlands, so I will be retiring from the webcomics gig and setting my sights where the readers are. I was hoping my readers here would rally, but that hasn't happened. If readership picks up in the fall, we'll see.
You'll still be able to find me at http://houseofthemuses.com .

My grandmother was the same. My mother and grandmother tried their best to pass those skills down to me. I've never really had to use them outside of darning a rip in a pocket or a pair of pants, but if necessity demanded it, I could take the skills up. Beautiful, isn't it? I don't think people today, with their pre-fab, pre-made habits, really appreciate those skills anymore.

Dear HOM, My Grandmother learned how to sew to the point of being my seamsteress, as a teen playing hockey, she customize my playing out fit, sewing in extra pads for example. The time and human effort needed to embroider say Dika's colorful dolphins would be displaying wealth, and artistic values as well. I think of Little Socrates or Archimedies, money beats brains! Will that change? I do not think so. Tammy

Oh, boo - that's too bad =[ I know I'm one of the non-rallying readers, but I had hoped others would pick up where I couldn't.

Title of the subplot for this issue is "The Life We Weave"; where Dika learns the first hints of Sappho's troubled past and she gains insights on how to control the path of her own.
