Explains it all. No, seriously, I got no manual, no nothing. My pal is on vacation to Germany and won't be back untill this evening, so I probably won't talk to him today. But I update every sunday. This is one project I have to keep faithfull too, cause if I can't even make this easy deadline each week, then there isn't much hope for me when I start working. Anyway, about photoshop. It's a great program, it truly is. With the few functions I understand, it already was quite fun. But I can't even make proper textballoons (I had to resort back to paint in order to make them) so yeah, that's how bad it is going with me. If anyone knows a good online manual for photoshop, it would be much apreciated. Anyway, in the meantime, visit some of the great WoW comics here on Drunkduck. Also, for text bubbles: 1) Type your desired text 2) Draw a circle, or rounded rectangle, or whatever shape you need, below the text. 3) Draw two lines from the text bubble, ending both of them where you want the tip of the tail to be located. 4) Select the three layers by Shift-clicking them to select them all, either on the layers window, or on the image. 5) then right click on the selection in the layers window. 6) Click "Merge layers". 7) Get the fill bucket tool and fill the hole between the text bubble and the outline of the tail. 8) Fill it again. If the outline gets a bit jagged, you're doing it right. 9) To remove the jagged edge, try running your cursor around it with the smudge tool, or adding a Stroke effect. 10) Link the text and bubble. Move it to where you desire. It sounds complicated, but it moves a considerably faster after a few tries. Gratz on photoshop. -Posted on Aug 24, 2008
