And another revelation about the nature of Steve's experimentation.
Yes Steve's blood is in fact artificial...HE hasn't even known that very long. It made a few of his near death experiences prior to that knowledge even scarier than they already were. Maribel has been aware of it almost as long as Steve has.
There are huge drawbacks to that little part of his biomechanical makeup actually. The blood was supposed to be a temporary replacement in an emergency situation.
It had the unexpected side effect of disabling the bone marrow's ability to produce new blood cells. That means that any blood Steve loses does NOT get replaced...so bleedout is a huge worry for him.
The advantage however is that his blood doesn't wear out fast - it does eventually, but it lasts a lot longer.
