Tom looks angry in the last cell, because Maria might as well be
looking right through the screen at him - he is the one who created the vaccine, he is the one who is yet to find the cure to the disease. A stake to the heart and a slap to the face.
Introducing
also the "Pure Humanity" movement (What David has referred to in the past as the "Purists"). They are major proponents to reign in the "gemue problem". Their influence on this story will increase as we move forward.

Very frightening when the public is told that there is a deadly virus that not even the government can help to contain. Hope is all you have left! Dx
