cont: Maybe it's not a good way to treat a friend but perhaps... he's hurt so much that he doesn't think they can be friends anymore. My mom has told me she's distanced herself from if not outright ended friendships with guys that she was into who weren't into her. I can see the logic and I imagine I'd do the same thing. Yun knows courtesy of Ruby and indirectly from Troy that Simon's heart is broken. He needs a chance to heal and probably being around her and seeing her in a relationship is slow torture.
@anonymous: No, I don't find it wrong. I'm annoyed with her too. She should have been honest with Simon about her feelings for Yun. I'd like to know how their friendship has also suffered now. Sydney and Yun have every right to pursue their love lives, of course. But Sydney in essence went right behind Simon's back when they'd talked about this. And honestly, if he hadn't caught her drawing in her notebook, he'd have never known about the attraction. I doubt she'd have even told him which makes me think less of her now as it would have been more deceitful than she already has been.
@MrKaos: I don't think it's truly his fault. It's not as if Yun never knew how Simon felt about her. She just wasn't receptive. The beginning of this comic talked about how he needed to try and not come on so strong for Yun who'd previously not shown any real interest in Simon. It's my impression he'd been trying to gain her romantic affections forever with no luck.
Simon. how Petty you got eh? "Your crush dates another girl" "ARRGGH! IGNORE!"
seriously. i know he got hurt but damn. it is no way to treat a friend like that. granted Yun made a mistake. but damn. it is just flatout cold. Simon. this mess is kinda your own goddamned fault.
Is it wrong that I feel really annoyed at Sydney? I mean, she knew that Simon was in love with Yun. He told her so point blank, and she told him he didn't have anything to worry about. Then she turns around and makes a move on her. That just seems extremely insensitive to Simon. At the same time, though I feel like I'm being a misogynist for feeling that way. I mean, Yun and Sydney have a right to pursue whoever they want and have their own relationships. But still... Dammit, I'm conflicted.
Hm... well, that was a good way to answer all possible questions in one hit. Sydney and Yun are dating, which I didn't quite expect. And Simon appears to have not spoken to Yun since prom and is flat out treating her like she doesn't exist. I am pleased. Very pleased.
If Yun and Sidney are happy and Simon is gonna keep ignoring her then I don't think Yun should have to be the one to pull the stick out of his ass. I think she should continue to be happy with Sidney and once Simon gets over it, they can go back to being like brother and sister.

being bisexual myself, I think I know what's wrong. he probably thinks she's a lesbian & that she won't ever be with him, making him depressed

I thought that behaviour was just the realm of bad writing to be honest. That really happens in real-life?
