I threw a little gag into the last panel as a sort of last minute thing. This whole Red Aura deal was mostly an excuse to experiment with some new techniques and I wasn't mindful in regards as to whether or not anyone else would get anything out of this.
But, well, in my better moments I prefer to think of myself as an entertainer of sorts. Doing something purely for "art's" sake seems awfully masturbatory for me. So yeah, I'll toss in at least one thing that I think will make a possible readership happy.
Make no mistake though. This was pretty much me playing around with colors. I never tried to use color as a narrative device in comics before, so this is a crude stab into the unknown. -Posted on Aug 06, 2009 |
