Yay! The end of Chapter 15. Big thanks to JustNoPoint who colored almost the whole chapter. This page was drawn by me, mlai wrote it and even Bittertea had some say in it. What a journey it was full of experimental goodness. Just the way I like it.
I rented Apocalypto a couple of days ago and I thought of the mayan temple I drew here... Wow. If the Hollywood version of the truth is anywhere near accurate then that was brutal what they did back then. Temple of doom stuff, without the monkey heads.
So now we are in the present, and it looks like things are coming together nicely... To me this almost feels like the end of Star Wars Emprie Strikes Back... back when Darth Vader wasn't some cute kid saturated in midichlorians.
Ah. I think the confusion was my fault. JNP was right, the Tula section and the present are the same, just different points of view. The caption only made it on this page because I thought the previous page was too confusing as it was.
The end of the flash back was the previous page, where Victress passes out and the present resumes with Tula struggling to stay conscious.
The link in the present was Tula being rushed to a medical tent. In this page she is very tiny and squished between word balloons.
The more I think about it, though. I'm glad we did it this way because it implies that Tula had a psychic dream about Victress' past. I'm sure we didn't mean for that to happen, but I like it. :-1
@ EEN: Tula is attacked and killed (okay not killed but she should have been :P) Manfred comes to Tula looking all Jesus like and rips up the FIGHT paper
Now we go to a dream of Chase and a metal hand. The dream belongs to Victress - the lady above. She awakes in a cave with Manfred, this scene is a flash back.
Now we are back in the present. We see Tula being carried to a medical tent and we see that Victress did stay. Seemingly in a sort of leadership fashion or medical fashion or both. Since the ladies carrying Tula are wondering where she is. The way she is looking over the city makes me think she is the leader. Under Manfred of course. Manfred is Master Splinter.
That isn't what I'm confused about. I'm confused about how Tula being rushed in at the end of last page connects with the the events of one month ago. Was she attacked 1 month ago? I though that happened in the present......
Confused? The entire chapter was a flashback, except this last page. In my page you see the caption "1 month ago." 1 month ago, she had that dream and woke up in that cave with Manfred.
I think the confusion is due to the slow rate of pages, so you basically forget the details of the beginning. :-)
