I re-uploaded this page. Why? Because I updated on a very different day then usual and ruined my response. This is an important page that I've always wanted to share with you all so... here it is again :P
Hi everyone!
Here is Tomoya! I am so happy to introduce him. I swear I have been waiting the whole 2 years and 91 pages this comic's had to introduce him. He's based on one of my Japanese students when I taught at an English immersion preschool. Now 4 years later he's been comic immortalized and I will be going back to Japan in a few weeks and hopefully see the now 8 year old little girl he was based on.
I had a tough time figuring out how to present him though. He will speak Japanese alot and I talked it over with people who'd read the original novel and they think I should only translate what he says within the comic. So basically, if Marissa or Angela doesn't understand what he says... neither do you :P
I'm also writing it in 'romaji' English characters instead of Japanese characters, so at least you can read it. Most of you have probably seen these words show up in manga anyway. Like today's word, 'Big sister Kari'. Easy enough, right ^_^
I also wanted to point out the little widget I added. It is counting the days and hours until my favourite author Stephanie Meyer will release the final book in her series Twilight. Yes, I'm a Twi-hard, Twilighter, whatever you call it. If you don't know who she is, she's basically (and already has surpassed) the next Jk Rowling. But better- I think. She's already written another book in another series. XD
