You know, Energize is a pretty handy guy to have around with that glowing chest of his. It's too bad Das didn't think to bring a book.
You know, only now am I realizing how completely immodest her posture is. I guess that's the fan service shot. So that means I want to see a lot of extra comments on this one!
Unless Nepath knows something I don't, I think we're going to be taking a break here. I do know that Nepath said that he'd be working on the next few pages very shortly, so it shouldn't be too long.
I've got some line art to finish up, and I assume Nepath is doing the same. When we're done, we'll do very much the same thing as last time. Update every other day until it's finished.
The lack of pupils is a stylistic choice. Even close-up, I don't do pupils. The reason I leave them blank is because I prefer seeing eye color as opposed to the pupils themselves. For some reason, though, Nepath didn't color them in.
Actually, the scale of the last panel indicates to me that she's looking nowhere near Energize's package, although it certainly does appear that he's checking her out in the fourth panel, doesn't it?
I haven't managed to read up on Dasien, but I got the same impression as alschroeder - her not being that ladylike. So even though she might end up in a Sharon Stone pose, her intentions would be completely different :-)
One question, since her eyes were mentioned in the previous comment too: Are Dasien's pupils really completely blank? The close-up in the last panel made me wonder.
Great art and dialogue, in any event - I'm enjoying this comic immensely.
For that matter, it looks like her eyes in the last panel aren't focused on his face, but his "package". Doubtless accidental, but the angle it's at, you expect Energize to say, "Hey, my eyes are up HERE."
Dasien isn't slutty, though. She's just...well, it's kind of like the munching on the cereal thing. She sees herself as one of the guys, and certainly doesn't stop to think if something is "ladylike". Sort of like Power Girl. Gorgeous but at heart, a brawler.
It's not the immodest posture that steals the scene, it's the fact that it's followed by Energize saying: "I suppose this is the sort of thing I'm gonna need to get accustomed to" ...!
