| dueeast | And so ends the flashback sequence -- but not the issue!
My apologies that it took so long to do this page. It went through a couple of versions before we reached this one. My wife was instrumental in helping me with the poses and angles and expressions, so she deserves a lot of credit in this page!
Oh, and for those who were wondering, that is Brock, creator of The SuperFogeys in the back row on frames 1 and 2, with permission from Brock. Just a funky inspiration I had, I just saw him as an extra for the scene. How often do comic creators get cameos in webcomics? Not often, I assure you! ;) (Except Brock -- he's special! He shows up in Thog Infinitron, too, I hear...)
Next, we'll go back to the present -- and inks and color! Ready to see how this all ties in with everything else we've been building up to? Things get really interesting now-!
Thanks for all your feedback on "More Lindsay! Week" -- it was a blast...
Oh and don't forget to visit the new DE website at http://www.dueeastcomic.com! -Posted on Jul 08, 2008 |

| User: cyberdog | | 5 | | Cool comic. Check out WarriorBorn -Posted on Jul 13, 2008 | | User: Hyptosis | | 5 | | Very nice, you really layed down the lead on this page didn't you! haha, great work. ^_^ -Posted on Jul 12, 2008 | | User: AfroChic | | 5 | Dude...
When you have an awesome comic, it's WORTH the wait! The update made me excited!!!! *giggles*
YAY!!!!! -Posted on Jul 11, 2008 | | User: DAJB | | 5 | Ooh, this comic's now being added to my official Blacklist of Shame! (It's another that doesn't tell me when it updates!)
Very nice contemplative page. Well worth the wait! -Posted on Jul 10, 2008 | | User: blntmaker | | 5 | Vacationing and I missed a great update from you! Silence is indeed golden here. So is repentance too apparently! Pencils and shading as always are top notch.
Glad to see you back, man! -Posted on Jul 10, 2008 | | User: albone | | 5 | | The second panel is very well done, the post, posture and feeling it gives off. I like the page as a whole for its quiet tension, but number two is tops. -Posted on Jul 09, 2008 | | User: Tantz Aerine | | 5 | | Excellent page. Very succint. And very much to the point as to what is going on. Excellent pencilwork too, and that cameo is amazingly awesome. XD -Posted on Jul 08, 2008 | | User: JustNoPoint | | | Wow, extremely well drawn page today! And as for Brock... whatchoo' talking 'bout?! He's a recurring character in Trog the Caveman! =p
Also, the links to the Off Hours comics seem busted =( -Posted on Jul 08, 2008 | | User: smkinoshita | | 5 | | I LOVE the third panel!! Excellent, subtle lighting job and good, bold outlines. :) -Posted on Jul 08, 2008 | | User: patrickdevine | | 5 | | I like silent pages for the fact they can be moody and expressive in a way that dialogue-heavy pages generally aren't. I find it really hard to tell a story with pictures alone though. You nailed this one I think -Posted on Jul 08, 2008 | | User: amanda | | 5 | | Very somber. Beautifully done - and I agree with UsedBooks - dialogue isn't necessary here. Glad to have you back with updates (though I thoroughly enjoyed the Lindsay awesomeness). -Posted on Jul 08, 2008 | | User: usedbooks | | 5 | | Nice silent scene. The lack of dialogue emphasizes the mood. :) I'm looking forward to the colored pages (though I do enjoy your pencils). -Posted on Jul 08, 2008 |
