L and Light are alot alike, but Light went a teeny bit insane after prolonged use of the death note. I'm still a strong Kira supporter, of course, but any Light fan would have to admit he was corrupted by the death note.

Sure a few things, like in the beginning, are too close to the anime, but it's got a new twist to it, and I love it!
