| dotdotdot | Today's comic is inspired by Bill Belichick's son! For those of you who don't know who Bill is, he is the head coach of the New England Patriots! I read an article today about how Bill's son has been charged with possessing alcohol and has been given 6 months probabation!
I've been on this earth for awhile now... I've heard of people getting charged for being drunk, or drinking in public, buying alcohol for, or selling it to minors, I've heard of people getting charged for illegally making alcohol! But never have I heard of anyone ever getting charged for simply possessing it!
I think this may be a US thing, cause here in Canada, although it is illegal for minor to possess alcohol... The cops don't go around giving kids criminal records for having a 26er in their backpack...
This just struck me as really stupid and a tad bit excessive!

@Tedmund: LOL! So true... When was the last time you went running to car whose alarm was going off to make sure everything was alright?! Car alarms are a complete waste of time and money!

@Amanda: Good for you for voting against such blatent nonsense! Business owners don't have a choice here in Canada, at least in Ontario and Alberta anyway... they get charged if someone smokes in their place... Not only did the government make the law... Cutting their business by 25%... they are forcing the bar owners to enforce it. It's a whole lot of BS if you ask me!
@Oldguy: LOL... The colours aren't the problem, it's the system itself... designed only to increase fear as needed in my opoinion.....

@Zoomcomix: That's what our alert system is for too here in Ontario... But it still doesn't make sense... I mean what are we suppose to do? Lock our kids in their rooms and everyone goes out looking or something? I don't think anyone knows what the colours actually mean... they just get scared because some politician picks a colour!
@Jabali: LOL... I think you're giving people too much credit! People can't even understand the colours when they are speeled correctly... You start throwing Yelloes, and Breens in there and their head's might explode!!

Here if you get an MIP you can't get your license until you're 18 and if you get a second you don't get your license until your 21...it's a ridiculous law.
