| | | | dotdotdot | I'm thinking people need to chill out about this flu thing a bit! This is no different than S.A.R.S. really, and that wasn't all that bad... 4000 people die from the flue every year as it is! Does it really make that big a difference if it comes from Pigs or not? If it's as bad as SARS... 900 people will die across the world... On a planet with 6.5 billion... I think you're pretty safe!
Cheers!
@Zoomcomix: LOL... Not everyone.. just Men!!!

@Jonko: If I really put my mind to it, I think there might be a few more things in common I could add to that list!!! :P
@dgriff: LOL... You can always bash politicians!
@Aghammer: Anytime Brother... anytime! Next time you're out this way, let me know, we'll get a good ol' fashioned Canadian drunk on!!! Check out one of "rippers" in Zoom's comics!

Maybe I don't just have a cold. -Posted on Apr 29, 2009 | | User: Jabali | | 5 | LOL! I was making a similar joke at my job.
"I work with pigs... or at least they act like pigs" -Posted on Apr 29, 2009 | | User: Jonko | | 5 | | Everyone's so scared about the swine flu now... Feel like there's always something we can freak out about! -Posted on Apr 29, 2009 | | User: Peipei | | 5 | | There's been about 20 something cases of swine flu in my state so far x.x. Kinda strange xD. -Posted on Apr 29, 2009 | | User: Theskunktrainer | | 5 | oops... i think i just commented on an old comic by mistake? maybe i do that a lot. the homepage confuses me.
but anyhow, so true, it's just hyped up by dying newspapers trying to increase their circulation. it doesn't seem any worse than normal flu atm. -Posted on Apr 28, 2009 | | User: ghostrunner | | 5 | | actually swine flu is an upper respatory disease- alright whos kissing all these pigs?! -Posted on Apr 28, 2009 | | User: Aghammer | | 5 | That sounds good man and if you ever made it down to Atlanta... the same goes :)
HAHA... good one... that damn story is on the news every single time I listen to the radio and we haven't had ONE case reported anywhere in this part of the country. Amazing. -Posted on Apr 28, 2009 | | User: Mushroomcomix | | 5 | | It is a silly silly thing to fear, so the spanish flu killed millions of people at the beginning of the 1900s, anyone ever heard of population control. History uses to confined of a population to explain why diseases turn into epidemics. People just shouldn't be so crowded in together. :) Send the swine flu to somewhere like China and it could become a HUGE epidemic. -Posted on Apr 28, 2009 | | User: oldguy85 | | 5 | Isn't swine flu what pigs get from
eating sick birds? -Posted on Apr 28, 2009 | | User: Jules | | 5 | quality stuff as usual, but yeah I agree how people are widely overreacting over this lol..
But maybe I should though because I live in NJ and from what I've heard it's starting to spread south from NY...:-/ -Posted on Apr 28, 2009 | | User: Gillespie | | 5 | | I must have allergies, as I feel as strong as a horse, despite getting out of the flu last weekend with pretty much all of the swine flu symptoms. -Posted on Apr 28, 2009 | | User: machinehead | | 5 | | I heard you can only get it from a pig farting on your face. -Posted on Apr 28, 2009 | | User: mbloom | | 5 | Agreed, unless it mutates and becomes more easily transmittable from person to person. We have nothing to worry about. The world health organization puts out these alerts like it does becuase its still scared shitless of the flue epidemic that occurred between 1915 and 1918 killing 80 million world wide. The majority of which were health adults between the ages of 25 and 40. An epidemic of this proportion could happen again in our life times for a number of reasons what I won't go into here, but I don't think Swine Flue is going to be the cause of it.
...I'm a hypochondriac so I follow these things very closely, and if I think we're going to be safe, then we should be alright.
Funny comic today btw. -Posted on Apr 28, 2009 | | User: TheFlyingGreenMonkey | | 5 | | I laughed when they were freaking out about this. No one in my area is scared. -Posted on Apr 28, 2009 | | User: Tedmund | | 5 | I just ate some left over pork recently.
I'M FREAKIN TERRIFIED OUT THE $!@#! :[... -Posted on Apr 28, 2009 | | User: Editt | | | | Also, they're only worrying about it because a bunch of people in Mexico have already died from it, and the U.S. doesn't want it to be come a pandemic. -Posted on Apr 28, 2009 | | User: Editt | | 5 | | My entire school district is closed this week due to the Swine Flu (I live in San Antonio BTW). Two kids got it at th high school and one or two others in my middle school. They also closed down the public parks so no one else gets sick. -Posted on Apr 28, 2009 | | User: amanda | | 5 | | I think it's a silly fear, too. In any case, it would be tough to discern flu here - most of the symptoms are similar to allergies - which probably 99% of people in my city have. *sigh* -Posted on Apr 28, 2009 |
