OmegaVelocity: Eventually is really the only answer I can give at this point
OmegaVelocity: I'm going through a lot; both in terms of life issues (don't want to get into that, let's just say things have been stressful) and changing views on the way DBP is made, there's a lot that makes it difficult to just jump back into making them on a regular basis

OmegaVelocity: July is completely packed with trips and events and there is just so much that I'm going to have to do

OmegaVelocity: Four seperate trips to Ohio, Florida, Vermont and possibly California, at least 4 or 5 days long each
OmegaVelocity: Plus our band is going to be going into the recording stage this month
OmegaVelocity: And I guess I'm going to try and hit up a couple Angels & Airwaves concerts too, if at all possible. They aren't in New England very often so I figure it'd be worth it to attend the shows that actially are
OmegaVelocity: Then there's the whole mentality that I've had since DBP was concieved, and that's that to be worth anything at all it constantly needs to evolve and improve upon itself, and at this point I don't know where to go past what I have
jtbltz: improve the writing
jtbltz: the drawing is already incredible
OmegaVelocity: I've always gotten complaints that the writing isn't strong enough, and I've tried to improve on that, but on the other hand I've always been an artist first and a writer second
OmegaVelocity: I don't want to just give up and ignore my subpar abilities in that area. Maybe Buckley can, but I'd at least like to get better at what I do, y'know?

jtbltz: well maybe you need to find a good writer?
OmegaVelocity: At the risk of sounding like a total dick, I'd like to refrain from collaborating with anyone as far as the actual comic goes
OmegaVelocity: It's not something I've enjoyed doing in the past, and I feel like I'm better off remaining responsible for everything that comes out of DBP

jtbltz: and create an entirely new comic

Just thought i'd say that you should'nt think too hard about this. Just give DBP a little break as you said and if you come up with any ideas just note them down until you have enough of them and enough time to create them.
The comic doesnt always NEED direction - Especially when you are currently really busy etc.
Nah. I don't have the writing skills or the drawing motivation. and the kinds of video games I'd probably write about are unpopular like RuneScape or Baldur's Gate.

Just thought i'd say that you should'nt think too hard about this. Just give DBP a little break as you said and if you come up with any ideas just note them down until you have enough of them and enough time to create them.
