Yeah, I was having one of those 'feeling impatient' moments, so here's the first page of the chapter. I am considering making it Monday updates instead of Tuesday though.
A couple of notes:
1: As far as I know, there is no Oak Parkland, IL...but there is an Oak Park, which is what this place is going to be based off of. I adjusted the town name to show this stuff won't be entirely accurate despite my efforts. XD ...and I wanted to use a semi-fictional place anyway.
2: "Knock's" was the name of the pub Topaz worked at in VPX, though here it's more like a cafe. Thought it'd be a funny little easter egg.
Also, I'm aware of how awful that first panel is. Sorry....but at least I'm rather fond of the car. =/
I love that, just the way he looks smacking that ketchup into his water like that! It's a very natural sort of look to it, I'm grasping at the right way to describe it but I've seen the look people give when they're playing with restaurant condiments like that and I think you captured it rather well. Ketchup soup sounds awful! I guess it'll be a lot like runny gazpacho, since it's cold?
By the way, I think the first panel is just fine, and more than that, a heck of a lot better than I can do with buildings! I really don't see what's wrong with it.
Also, I must point out that you have a handle on something I've seen some published artists can't even get right, which is placing text on objects with the correct perspective!
