One week late, but I got there in the end! The high contrast black and white and long dialogue made this page kind of time consuming. I wanted it to look like there was snow everywhere and it's dark out. It's when I do scenes like this it becomes obvious that I live in an area that hardly gets any snow. I like the dialogue here though. Since I've been drawing a lot of archways between buildings I thought it was time to draw people walking on them. Also there's a cameo in the last panel: it's Fudo from Used Books! http://www.drunkduck.com/Used_Books/
@antcomics: Cricket does have a crush on Ollie, she's just meant to be a character that's not open about her feelings. That might be why it's difficult to tell.
@amanda: Cricket's skirt is actually red plaid, I haven't done many color drawings of any of the characters so I guess I do sort of force readers to guess... I guess it would have been smarter for me to avoid winter scenes as well, but now that I've established that it's winter it's a bit late for that... oops!
I love Cricket's skirt - it's super cute. I bet, in color, it's green and yellow. Hurray for Fudo! He's nice and creepy per usual. We don't get much by way of snow in Texas either (big surprise there), so I tend to avoid winter scenes.
