Sorry for 'sploding your brain--I often have that effect on people, but usually for different reasons. (Mainly a rocket launcher aimed at head level.) *lol* ;)

Steely Gaze: All will be made clear soon! 8D (man, I keep forgetting you're not in the loop with this comic...I'm so used to you knowing what will happen before everyone else--it's weird.) ^_^'

Antcomics: Don't I know it! I would LOVE to be able to thump people from farther away. Much safer and less chance of getting thumped back. =p *I'm all about efficiency*

it's the return of KA-BONK!! YAY!

Nice fist trick. I wish I could thump someone in the head from a few feet away like that. Handy skill, that.

Ha, ha! Lucky's last line cracked me up! It's smackdown time!

But...I wonder, why was Lucky so worried about being recognized? Do they know him from somewhere? Hmm....

Rain storm: Thank you! (I'm starting to get tired of DRAWING his eyes. Be they black, or pink swirlies.) XD

Flup: *takes deep breath for long explanation* Let's see...First I started with a gradient for the background. Then I had downloaded some free manga tones for the GIMP a few months back *when I downloaded a bunch of brushes* And I used a "Focus" one...(Uhh, No. 7 maybe? I can't remember which.) But It used them all in a repeating pattern, so I cut out one large rectangle with the line pattern you subtly see here, and I had to use the scale tool to scale it to the size of my panel. (which was the longest bit, since my panel was crooked and I couldn't figure out how large to scale it.) Then once it was in place, I erased any excess which was going over the border of the panel--which there was. A lot of too, I might add--And THEN I set the whole layer opacity *since I had the manga "focus" on a separate layer* lower, so that it was semi-transparent. (Then I used Gaussian Blur since the black lines looked REALLY jagged. (They didn't scale all that well.) Lastly I added a spherical gradient using the semi-transparent one to put around Lucky. Finishing off by adding a layer below our li'l leprechaun friend and painting a white outline around him. Which I then blurred to an insane degree using the Gaussian Blur. *and getting the nice glowy look around him*

Wish I could show you all a step-by-step of how I do things...but that's usually impossible since I work on a laptop and have to keep merging down my separate layers. (Laptops are many things, but they're NOT made to handle picture manipulation very well.) ^_^;
